The Material Portal supports material orders with General Foreman approval. It’s simple, clear and easy to use, allowing the users to submit their orders via PC, iPad, or mobile phone quickly and without distractions. Users at the job location enter their orders. Upon approval by the General Foreman, the system sends an order email to the vendor.
Previously the Foreman submitted a daily list of order requests to General Foreman, who then forwarded the request to the vendor. Efficient ordering on-site when the need arose was not possible. The Material Portal allows faster orders with fewer errors, improving completion time. Additionally, it makes the everyday job of users easier. Users do not need to keep a list of orders for a later entry. Their current order list is available just by opening the portal.
